The display runs in a browser, so almost anything can drive it — an Android TV box, or the old computer in the office. Set it once and it runs your masjid’s display for good, including after a power cut.

What it does
Set it once, then forget it
Type your Masjid ID in on first launch and the box remembers which masjid it belongs to. Nobody has to touch it again.
Survives the power going out
Starts itself when the box powers on and goes straight to fullscreen — no remote, no home screen, no menus.
Use whatever hardware you already have
The display is a web page, so any device with Chrome can run it — an old laptop, a mini PC behind the screen, a Chromebook, an iPad. A dedicated Android TV box is the tidiest option, not the only one.
Layouts that fit your screen
Horizontal, vertical and tawkit templates, so a portrait screen in a hallway works as well as a lobby TV.
Overlays when they matter
Iqamah countdown, khutbah and taraweeh overlays take over the screen at the right moment, then get out of the way.
Your slides between prayers
Run announcements and images as a slideshow that pauses around salah and resumes afterwards.
Fix it without going there
The screen checks in on its own, so you can reload it remotely instead of driving over with a keyboard.

Setting it up
About ten minutes, once, with a TV remote. You need an Android TV box on the same power as the screen, and your Masjid ID — the app will show you yours.
Install it on the TV box
Find Masjidi Cast on Google Play on the Android TV device itself and install it there — not on your phone.
Make it the default launcher
Open it and accept the “Set as Default Launcher” prompt, or set it under Settings → Apps → Home app. This is what makes the screen come back on its own after a power cut.
Enter your Masjid ID
On first launch it asks for your Masjid ID. Type it with the on-screen keypad and save.
Restart the TV
Power it off and on once. From then on it goes straight to your display whenever the screen has power.
No TV box? Open cast.masjidiapp.com in Chrome on any spare computer, put the browser in fullscreen, and it does the same job. Either way, choose your layout — horizontal for a lobby TV, vertical for a hallway screen — and manage the slideshow between prayers from the Masjidi app on your phone.
